Mixing of Waters

In 2019 as part of my exhibit at Hallberg Center for the Arts (Wyoming, MN), I painted a 24″ x 36″ studio painting called “Mixing of Waters”. In a scene repeated worldwide, rivers of different composition mix in organic, cursive patterns.  Making invisible eddy currents visible, differences between the cloudy Minnesota and clear Mississippi offer lessons in fluid flow and geography.  I donated “Mixing of Waters” to the St. Croix Watershed Research Station in return for their hosting me in a 2018 artist residency at their St. Croix River Pine Needles cabin.
